Summer Internship

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Summer Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers an immersive experience in marketing, social media, event planning, photography/videography, and apparel merchandising. Additionally, you will play a key role in customer service, brand advocacy, and supporting our online and offline initiatives. As a Summer Marketing Intern at Lakes and Grapes, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of our brand's operations while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Summer 2024 Intern at Lakes and Grapes, you'll play a vital role in various aspects of our brand's operations. From content creation and social media management to event planning and customer service, you'll gain hands-on experience in a wide range of areas. Here are some of the essential duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the owner on content creation and social media campaign planning.
- Create engaging social media content, including photos, graphics, videos, and stories.
- Manage daily Instagram stories to drive engagement and sales.
- Foster relationships with followers and high-profile individuals, such as ambassadors and influencers.
- Provide exceptional customer service across social media channels.
- Assist with photo shoots, event setup, and networking opportunities.
- Measure and report on community feedback, engagement, and growth metrics.
- Contribute to graphic design projects for social media and in-store promotions.
- Learn and execute email marketing strategies using platforms like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ManyChat.
- Assist with website updates, SEO optimization, and digital web analytics.
- Contribute to the creation of engaging written content for blog posts, social media captions, and website copy.
- Assist with product merchandising and inventory management, including tracking stock levels, organizing merchandise displays, and coordinating product shipments.
- Even work on designing your own L&G apparel item.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- Available 3+ days per week, ideally.
- Housing in the area and reliable transportation (for on-site interns).
- Required GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Current college student or recent graduate with a focus on Communication, Marketing, Fashion and Merchandising, Retail, or Business.
- Interest in the Lakes And Grapes lifestyle, social media, fashion, retail, and marketing.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
- Social media savvy with a customer service mindset.
- Creative writer with a grasp of millennial jargon and pop culture.
- Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Availability
- Open to working a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Additional Willingness Requirements:
- Able to work in an environment with vibrant lighting and lively music.

- Prepared to handle boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Willing to collaborate as part of a team while also being capable of independently completing assigned work.

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at our HQ Traverse City store. Job Summary:
Our Sales Team Members serve as the brand's ambassadors to our customers, playing a vital role in our achievements. They possess extensive expertise in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a remarkable guest experience at our retail stores. Their responsibilities include engaging and building connections with our guests, providing comprehensive product knowledge, and authentically representing our community and culture. Working closely with customers, they assess their requirements, address product inquiries, and offer appropriate solutions. Ultimately, Team Members aim to deliver outstanding customer service, uphold store cleanliness, and consistently achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities:

- Include an "add-on" sale in every transaction.
- Accurately complete all point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
- Follow opening and closing checklists to maintain a clean and inviting store environment for our guests.
- Organize and maintain store inventory, ensuring it is dust-free and well-stocked during downtime.
- Participate in contests, team sales goals, and other incentive programs.
- Maintain a friendly and open attitude towards guests, fellow employees, and management.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines outlined in the handbook.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize the guest experience and support store operations.
- Conduct product presentation tasks, such as restocking, inventory management, and maintaining store displays according to company standards.
- Utilize in-store technology to streamline store operations and provide positive guest experiences.
- Prepare online orders by selecting and packaging apparel items, as well as fulfilling in-store pickup orders.
- Engage with social media by liking and commenting on posts that tag @lakesandgrapes and our branded hashtags on a daily basis.
- Promote Lakes and Grapes through interactions and communication with followers on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
- Distribute new follower coupons via direct messages.
- Assist during photo shoots by supporting models, managing paperwork, capturing behind-the-scenes content, and arranging setups.
- Support in-store events and contribute to the Ambassador program and monthly ambassador roundups.
- Adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- You may end up assisting in other web and digital media duties that may include graphic designs, creating promotions, writing blog posts, ect.
